Nurturing Curious Minds

At BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi, children aged 3 to 6 begin their learning journey with joy and intentional care. Rather than rushing, our child-centered, play-based approach gives your child the space to grow at their own pace while building strong foundations in physical coordination, problem-solving, communication, and social-emotional confidence.

Curriculum

Grounded in the world-renowned Cambridge Early Years Curriculum and its 12 Key Principles, we help your little ones connect what they learn to the world around them. Our learning approaches bridge early curiosity with real-world understanding, ensuring a smooth and confident transition into Primary school.

Key Principles of Early Years Programme

BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi takes tremendous pride and joy in providing our young learners with a holistic learning approach. Learning is made fun through playing and engaging activities. It is strengthened by a supportive system to facilitate students’ active participation and to encourage a love for life-long learning.

1. Holistic Approach (Academics and Affective)
We deliver excellence in providing a well-balanced education which focuses on the academics as well as affective areas to develop attitudes, academics and life skills throughout students’ education in order to be successful in life. We integrate learning with values and BINUS identity.

2. Promote a Love for Learning to be Life-Long Learners
We encourage students to be curious and want to learn more deeply and are keen to learn new skills throughout their lives.

3. Integrated Interactive Learning
We believe that students are active learners. We leverage resources and opportunities in innovative ways to deliver inquiry and activity based, play as medium and thematic approach into learning.

4. Adults as Supporters in Learning
We promote a meaningful collaboration with parents and other supporting adults to support students’ learning and engagements.

Activities

Our Early Years classroom experience:

  • a holistic approach, which builds connections between different curriculum areas as well as developing children’s learning attributes following the Cambridge Learner’s Attributes.
  • active learning, which puts the child at the centre of their learning so they are engaged in their learning rather than passively listening and receiving information.
  • a play-based approach, which involves children learning through playful activities that are either child-initiated or adult-guided.
  • a focus on developing speaking and listening skills, which enable children to communicate, make sense of the world, and develop through social interactions.
  • a multilingual approach, which supports the learning of bilingual and multilingual children and celebrates home languages.
  • a focus on developing self-regulation, which develops children’s awareness and control of their own thinking, learning, and emotions.
