United Nations Day 2023

From 23 – 27 October 2023, MSHS students and teachers plus several guests had an educational and informative time of finding out more about the different Sustainable Development Goals. The main objectives of this week are:
• Imbibe United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals through the following activities: Inter-faith Prayer, Human Library and Field Trip.
• Showcase learners’ creativity and learning through the gallery/exhibit.
• Foster sustainable lifestyle among students through reflection activities related to UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
We organized a UN week with a theme specifically designed for our young learners “Peace, Dignity and Equality on a Healthy Planet” The objectives of this week – long events are:
• To celebrate the diversity of the United Nations member states through food and culture.
• To build awareness of the United Nations Global Goals.
• Create a class project that relates Global Goals 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
• Create a class project that relates with Global Goals 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
We want our students to be exposed to different cultures and be accepting of differences, this is where in fact, the strength of Indonesia lies: DIVERSITY. At the same time, we want our young students to be exposed early on to the SDGs and see that their little sacrifices may lead to something good for everyone in the long – run.
